Alexis Newton - Young horse starter

Alexis is a competitive eventer & jumper with lots of experience with unstarted or problem horses. Her relaxed and calm way of riding is key in giving the horses their best start. Alexis is the first one to ride the babies or to restart older horses. She has successfully started many different types of horses including some currently in training at Jessop Dressage; Apollo (2011 Friesian Stallion), Quentano (2014 Oldenburg gelding), Jaya-Dessa (2014 KWPN mare), Ragnarok (2013 Hanoverian Stallion)

Christina Matthews - Working Student

Christina has competed up to FEI Junior level and schooled to Grand Prix. She is at school for photography and is available for photo shoots. Christina is aiming for FEI Young Riders in 2018. She loves working with the young horses & took Don Dion to his first show and has also started Jupiter (2015 s.B.s mare)

Dr. Bruce Watt & Dr. Kathleen Taylor- Veterinarians

Originally from Markham, Ontario, Bruce graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1989 and has worked in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories.

After his 3 year surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Watt was on the surgical staff at the University of Florida in Gainesville, followed by Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. Dr. Watt is a board certified surgeon and has a special interest in surgery, lameness and preventative medicine.

 

Kathleen is a born and bred Uxbridge local who grew up working with Western performance horses. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College.

Dr. Taylor has a special interest in equine reproduction and neonatal medicine having spent time on large breeding farms in Ontario, United States and New Zealand.
